FREE WEB (the “Operator”) sets out below how information about users is handled in connection with “Misekoe” (the “Service”).
1. Information We Collect
Store users
We may collect:
- Email address, for one-time code authentication and linking an email address to an account.
- The user identifier provided by Apple when you use Sign in with Apple.
- Your LINE user identifier, display name, and profile image URL when you use LINE Login.
- Your Service account identifier, authentication-linkage information, and LINE friend status.
- Device and app information needed to register and deliver push notifications, such as an FCM registration token, platform, and app version.
- Store settings such as store name, business category, time zone, and notification times, as well as information about use of the Service, including QR codes, surveys, response review, and notifications.
- Subscription-management information such as Stripe customer ID, Subscription ID, subscription status, subscription-period end date, and whether cancellation is scheduled for the end of the period.
Survey respondents
We collect survey responses, including ratings, selected options, free-text comments, whether the respondent is in the store, and whether the respondent wants staff to be notified. We do not ask respondents to enter their name, email address, or telephone number.
Website access and usage
We may collect event names, such as landing-page views and button actions, and an anonymous ID stored temporarily in the browser’s sessionStorage. We do not use the value of an authentication session cookie for analytics.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Verify identity through email authentication, Sign in with Apple, or LINE authentication, and manage accounts and stores.
- Provide the Service; store, aggregate, and display survey responses; and send in-app, push, and LINE notifications.
- Prevent misuse, maintain authentication and security, and respond to service incidents.
- Manage subscriptions and billing through Stripe.
- Understand and improve website usage, respond to inquiries, send important notices, and meet legal requirements.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to the extent needed for their respective functions:
- Apple: Identity verification through Sign in with Apple. When an account is deleted, we revoke the token used for Apple authentication linkage.
- LINE: Identity verification through LINE Login, checking profile information and friend status, and sending LINE notifications.
- Google Firebase / Firebase Cloud Messaging: Registering mobile devices for push notifications and delivering those notifications using information such as FCM registration tokens.
- Cloudflare: Delivery and execution through Workers, data storage through D1, notification processing through Queues, and static file delivery.
- Stripe: Web subscription applications, Customer Portal, and subscription and billing-status management. The Service’s servers do not store card information.
- Google Analytics: Website usage analysis only. We do not use Firebase Analytics to analyze use of the mobile app.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
To maintain store users’ login sessions on the web, we use session cookies with the HttpOnly and SameSite attributes, and the Secure attribute in production. A session remains valid for 30 days after it is issued. The anonymous ID on the landing page is stored in sessionStorage, not in a cookie.
Google Analytics may cause first-party cookies provided by Google, such as _ga, to be stored in a browser to identify website visitors and manage sessions. These cookies are used to understand website access and can be disabled in browser settings. Google Analytics is not used in the mobile app.
5. Security and Retention
We implement safeguards necessary to prevent the leakage, loss, or damage of information, including access controls, authentication and CSRF protections, signature verification, and encrypted communications. We appropriately manage collected information for the period needed to fulfill its purpose or for any period required by law.
6. Disclosure to Third Parties
We do not disclose personal information to third parties without the individual’s consent, except where required by law. This does not prevent us from using the third-party services listed above as needed to provide the Service.
7. Account Deletion and Requests to Access or Correct Information
You can delete your account in the app under More → Account → Delete account. Deletion removes account information, authentication information, push-notification device information, and LINE-linkage identifiers. If you use Sign in with Apple, we also revoke the Apple authentication token.
For a store for which you are the sole owner, store data and survey responses are deleted, and any active subscription is canceled. A shared store is retained for its other owners; the deleting user’s membership information and its association with personal information are removed. Information that must be retained by law may be kept for the required period.
On the web, you can request deletion through the account deletion page. If you cannot access that page or use the app, contact us using the information below.
To request access to, correction of, or suspension of use of personal information we hold, contact us below and include information needed to verify your identity. If we cannot fulfill a request under applicable law, we will explain why.
